In January of 2019, Eveline Tcacenco, Chase DuBose, and I, had the opportunity to organized an exhibition of our most recent work in the Johnson Gallery. The show explored the joint experience of our cross cultural upbringings and identities.
My work questions personal and cultural identity in relation to place and migration. It engages aspects of self presentation as it relates to multicultural upbringings and what it means to be from somewhere. My collages and drawings layer and overlap maps, national documents, migratory patterns, flight trajectories, and photographs to explore the fragmented identities created through movement.
